Slim 7 1/4” x 5” softcover, 60pp plain publication with stapled binding. Tells of the life of Armelle Nicolas (1606-1671), known as “La bonne Armelle”. She was a saintly French illiterate servant who became a symbol of the goodness of the spirituality of a simple life of toil through her friendship with Sister Jeanne de la Nativite, who first wrote her life story.
This 1899 edition, “Translated and Revised by Inanda”, appears to be unique. Inanda is the pseudonym of Martha Lindley, the daughter of the founders of the Inanda Seminary School in South Africa.
Darkened covers; rusted staples; faint vertical fold line down center; pages very good.
