[PHOTOGRAPHY] [STEREOVIEWS] [MASSACHUSETTS] [BOSTON] Unidentified Photographer. Group of four 19th century flat mount stereoviews in the Boston & Suburbs series of America Illustrated, all depicting scenes of Boston, Massachusetts. Included are two different panorama views (one looking East and one looking West) taken from the Bunker Hill Monument; Old South Church; and the Crawford House. All appear to date circa the 1880s.
Flat mounts, yellow on front side and light gray on the reverse; each with the “American Illustrated / Boston & Suburbs” printing on the front side edges. The two panorama views are both titled on the mount beneath the right-side image, “Panorama from Bunker Hill Monument”. One of the two has “East” written in a period hand on the back side; the other has “West” written in the same hand. The stereoviews of historic “Old South Church” and “Crawford House” are both identified on the back in the same hand. All four images are sharp and clear with good detail; overall, in VG+ to Near Fine condition. [21-900 / 20-327]
