1976 Air Force Menu Signed by Chuck Yeager & Other Air Force Ace Pilots

Amazing memento of the 1976 Air Force Winter Rendezvous in Portland, Oregon that is signed by five well-known WW-II pilots. Most notable is Chuck Yeager, who broke the speed barrier in 1947. Robert G Emmens has signed above the printed “Jimmy Doolittle”--Emmens was one of 1942’s Doolittle Raiders who retaliated for the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor.  Francis “Gabby” Grabowski, the top American fighter ace in WWII Europe and a POW also signed, as did Brigadier General Robert L Scott, who survived 388 combat missions. Also included is Rex Barber-“shooting down Yamomoto”, who shot down the Japanese Fleet Commander in Chief Isoroku Yamamoto, an event some believe to be a turning point in the war.  Barber has also bragged: “95% of all planes shot down, were shot down by 2% of the pilots”.

The menu is graphically decorated at the top and is in very good condition with a fold mark at the top.  A wonderful, one-of-a-kind piece!
