Boston, United Fruit Co
This is one of my favorite items: A Short History of the BANANA and a few RECIPES for its use, Recipes by Janet MacKenzie Hill, editor, the Boston Cooking School magazine, Published by the United Fruit Company (Boston). Undated but circa 1920 based on the style of this 32 page stapled booklet with embossed covers and stunning lithography. It seems the United Fruit Company also operated steamships.
In very good condition with some staining to cover banana bunch, and browning around staples inside. Middle leaf (4 pages) loose from lower staple.
