1956
Scarce hand-bound invitation and menu to a 1956 Don the Beachcomber feast in Hawaii. Four pages, including a history of the feast. Bound in tiki-themed paper with jute ties. In excellent condition, small numbers written at top of the first page in the same ink as the invitee name and date, so presumably contemporary to the piece. Measures 3.5” x 5”.
With a small collection of 29 additional Hawaiian items from the 1956 period: brochures, maps, theme napkins, and postcards. Generally very good condition, except for the napkins which are quite worn. A few pieces have names or writing on them.
