Wonderful grouping of ten genuine antique photographs of men with books. Included are five photos on board, three RPPCs (real photo postcards), one CDVs (Carte de Visite), and one odd snapshot. Included are three shots of men in libraries or with multiple books, men standing touching or near single books, a man reading a newspaper, and a man who looks a bit like Elton John reading at his roll-top desk. Two are identified on the back. Books are symbolic in old photos (as well as paintings) of education and refinement.
