56, [4] p., 45 plates, 34 p., 3 plates. This volume of plates appears to have been the only volume of Belgrand's 3-volume 1869 work to have had a second edition. It includes numerous photographic illustrations of human bones, including skulls, as well as those of other animals, including mammoths and other elephants, etc. are largely heliogravures by Dujardin, with a few plates by Drivet which appear to be photogravures. A bit of occasional foxing, but on the whole quite clean.
