John Taylor of Caroline was a true pioneer of agriculture and experimented with different ideas of farming. This book is a second edition revised and enlarged. It went through several editions and it was quite popular in its day. Taylor also wrote numerous books on politics. He and Thomas Jefferson were friends and exchanged ideas on farming. It is inscribed in the from by W. H. Perkins, Sept 16th 1844.
