Early collected edition issued shortly before Byron’s death in 1824, and preceding the official “Complete Works” series. Includes engraved frontispiece portrait in Vol. I. Bound in contemporary diced calf with gilt Greek key roll borders, spines in six compartments with gilt floral devices, titles and volume numbers stamped direct. Marbled edges and endpapers. Moderate rubbing to joints, spine ends, and corners; some scattered foxing and offsetting internally. Bindings sound. A handsomely bound early John Murray edition reflecting the publisher’s close connection to Byron’s literary career.
