Limitations vary from 1200 to 2000 copies (LEC S-02, 03, 04, 05). An extremely important series of books devoted to all aspects of fine book production. Part one of volume four is bound in stiff paper wrappers as first issued. A near fine set.

Articles include: ON DESIGNING A TYPE FACE by Frederic Goudy, HAND-MADE PAPER AND ITS RELATION TO MODERN PRINTING by Dard Hunter, and BIBLIOTHECA TYPOGRAPHICA: A LIST OF BOOKS ABOUT BOOKS by Horace Hart. Among 19 other contributors are Alfred Pollard, Lawrence Wroth and Carl Purington Rollins. Ulrich & Kup call the Dolphin: "The outstanding American publication on the book, touching almost every phase in a vital and scholarly way. Orders in the USA are normally shipped using the US Postal Service Media Mail. Other services such as UPS and air mail through the US Postal Service are available upon request. Foreign shipments are sent via USPS International Mail, which generally arrives within 2-3 weeks. In the U.S., standard shipping cost will be $8.50 for first volume and $1.00 for each additional volume. If ordering outside the U.S., postage is calculated based on weight and destination.
