Item Details

New York, New Directions, 1943.

Approximately 5.5 x 3.5" tan card with printed apology from Laughlin beginning "I am extremely sorry that the difficulties of wartime production have so long delayed the publication schedule of the POETS OF THE YEAR books. Please be assured that we shall complete the 1943 series, though some will not be ready until 1944." He also indicates authors already published that year, authors or titles still in production, that "Canadian Poets" [i.e., A LITTLE ANTHOLOGY OF CANADIAN POETS] replaces "Poems of War," etc. Fine.
