--Advertising card, recto and verso measuring 10 1/2 x 13 3/4 inches. Corner missing but no content lost, light wear and soiling.

--Original sepia-toned ink artwork on heavy card, 10 x 6 3/8 inches--very good condition

--Three original photographs about 5 1/2 x 3 3/4 inches--very good condition

--One original photograph with negative about 5 1/2 x 3 3/4 inches--good condition

--Four printed advertising lay-out pieces of various sizes--very good condition 

Wonderful advertising archive for the ever-popular Ash Barrel Truck from C.H. Stephenson, Mfr. of Lynn, Massachusetts. "Wheelbarrows are out of Date--Use the Combination Stephenson All Steel Ash Barrel Truck and our Spiral Truss Ribbed Ash Barrel for Gathering up Grass, Leaves and Rubbish Around the Yard."  

Advertisements show a Tuxedo wearing gent rolling the ash barrel down stairs along with several other 'real-life' examples. In addition to the Ash Barrel Truck, Stephenson also sold Half Round Garbage Buckets, Underground Garbage Receivers and Milk Bottle Holders.

Despite ads showing women using their products, a Stephenson slogan was, "Ask Any User--He Knows."
