[Automobilia][Missouri] Bringing Home the Hup--8 Photos from 1922
Collection includes 6 celluloid negatives measuring 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches and 2 glass plate negatives which measure 3 1/4 x 5 1/2 inches. One glass plate dated on the negative, 1922. All in very good condition.
Fun little photo documentation of driving a new Hupmobile home in 1922. Based on notations on a sleeve with photos, we believe the trip takes place in Missouri with noted place names of Troy, St. Peters, Louisiana, and South Park. One locale is listed as Mississippi Bluff near Louisiana which threw us for a bit.
Hupmobiles were a line of cars built by the Hupp Motor Car Company of Detroit from 1909 to 1939. One can just imagine the pride of driving home a new car in 1922, as shown in these photos.
We have converted these negatives digitally into positives. You will only receive the negatives, but these will print nicely with good detail.
