Puzzle board measures 7 x 7 inches, enclosed in a ratty cellophane wrapper. Direction for working Baffel and Recording Solutions on verso, with laid down advertisement for Dina-Mite Wheat Bran Flax "If you would like a solution to BAFFEL, send two tops from regular DINA-MITE packages...." Cardstock board and punch pieces are intact and complete. Cellophane wrapper has tear to front with chipped corners. Some soiling. Good condition.

A checkerboard dissection game published in 1938 by A.C. Braden. These games are marketed as brain teasers where a checkerboard is cut into irregular pieces which then must be reassembled into the classic checkerboard, alternating red and black squares throughout. This game advertises over 75 different solutions, putting the 14 pieces together.

We find modern equivalent "Baffel" games on-line today made of wood or plastic but are unable to find a record of this 1938 game by Braden.
