[Fashion][Advertising] Fashion Footnotes, Florshiem Shoes, Dunlap's Narrow Heel Booterie, Portland, Oregon
No date. Ca. 1930s. 7 sheets (6 with black and white illustrations plus 1 text sheet), 4 1/4 x 3 1/4 inches each, loose (as issued) in color pictorial paper folder, 4 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches. Appears to be unused, in fine condition.
"The Starting Point of Fashion... An impressive collection of footwear that fits in with the modern mode..." Featured are six styles of shoes for women: The Leona, Glenview, Paula, Palos, Astra, and Dainty, all in a stylish Art Deco style folder. Issued by Florsheim Shoes with Dunlap's Narrow Heel Booterie, Portland, Oregon imprint inside.
Florsheim offered these classy little promotional kits to shoe stores, including the opportunity to imprint store name inside, thereby giving the appearance that Dunlap's Narrow Heel Booterie produced the promo. Not many of these likely survive, especially in this condition. We find ads for Dunlap's Narrow Heel Booterie only from 1929-1932. Florshiem continues to this day.
