[Poetry] San Francisco [From the Sea] with Etching by W. Drewes, Kennedy-Ten Bosch Company, San Francisco, California, 1927. 12 5/8 x 9 1/2 inches for the folded sleeve for etching; 6 1/2 x 4 7/8 for the 8-page poetry booklet affixed to front. 

Interesting presentation with Bret Harte's poem presented in an 8-page string-tied booklet with is affixed to a larger presentation folder which contains the etching by Werner Drewes. The larger folder (very good condition) has light soiling and slightly bent corners while the poetry booklet is in fine condition.

A keepsake published by the San Francisco printing and advertising firm Kennedy-Ten Bosch. The Harte poem was first published in the July 1868 "Overland Monthly". Unknown number of printings but there are fewer than ten copies recorded in OCLC--a very nice item for the Bret Harte completist.
