This is an 1850s privy dug Elixir of Opium embossed medicine bottle.... boldly embossed  on front of bottle...Hand blown in mold...pointed base...hand tooled square ring lip...light aqua....round...4 1/4"tall.  A drug bottle with normal light overall haze.  This is one of the only bottles that actually has the word OPIUM embossed in the glass. ....

McMUNN'S ELIXIR OF OPIUM. Was THE PURE AND ESSENTIAL EXTRACT FROM THE NATIVE DRUG. It contained all the valuable medicinal properties of Opium in natural combination, to the exclusion of all its noxious, deleterious, and useless principles upon which its bad effects depend.
