Antique American Plant Specimen Album (c. 1850s)

Fascinating working specimen album assembled by the family of W.A. Myrick, featuring over 200 mounted American plant specimens. Most examples include original labels or handwritten captions, with dates ranging from 1890–1937. Many specimens note their place of origin, spanning regions such as Oregon, New Mexico, and Michigan.

The album consists of many leaves (folio format, approx. 12 x 9¾ inches) and is not bound. The loose  covers shows moderate wear consistent with age. Interior pages exhibit foxing and natural discoloration. Plant specimens have occasional breaks or chipping but remain largely intact and well preserved for their age. Overall, a compelling and visually rich historical botanical collection.
