First edition of the 1985 printing by Caliban Press (Montclair, N.J.) of Norman Mailer’s “Huckleberry Finn, Alive at 100.” 9 pp. Fine in sewn wrappers. One of 200 numbered copies printed in Mohawk Letterpress Text with handmade Indian endpapers. (There were also 50 hardbound copies.) First separate appearance of this essay celebrating Twain’s novel. Very excellent/near mint condition. Inscribed (nearly immediately after publication) on June 3, 1985, on last page by Caliban Press printer Mark McMurray to acquainting Elbert Brinning, a physician in northern New Jersey.
