Large four page announcement from Virginia Adams & Houghton Mifflin Company for Ansel Adams forthcoming book “My Camera in Yosemite Valley”. The announcement features a large black & white photograph of Bridal Veil Falls. The photograph is on glossy photographic stock paper and is 12” x 14 ½” overall. Overall size of the announcement is also 12 x 14 ½”. Three pages of text as well as the image. The two outside pages of the piece are a flat stock paper with moderate to heavy foxing. The two inside pages are mostly clean and printed on the glossy side of the paper. Mild edge wear. The spine is beginning to split and some light foxing along the gutter. The actual image remains very good. This might have been offered only in Virginia Adam’s Store in Yosemite or possibly for other book stores. I have had no luck researching and finding another announcement like this for the book. But this is an original 1949 Adams print. See images.
