Hardcover. Grey paper with blue cloth spine. Unpaginated but 26 pages on which is written in a fine hand the story of Sir Jocelyn and his quest to rescue the maiden Princess Imogen, imprisoned in a tower "to hold her from a heritage of riches and a throne." Titled simply "A Ballad" and written as a poem.
The story is told in ten pages of text and illustrated by W, Grove with three watercolor, two pen and ink, two pencil and one charcoal full page illustrations along with a vignette and tail piece in pen and ink.
