A finely executed student’s notebook dedicated to the microscopic structure of plants. The notebook offers detailed diagrams of plant tissues—dicotyledon stem, vascular tissue, gametophyte, pinus leaf, staminate, pollen grain and much more—annotated in a fine hand and accompanied by handwritten text. The work shows close attention to botanical accuracy and clarity, reflecting contemporary  emphasis on observational drawing as a learning tool in science education.

Note book in limp boards. 8" by 6 1/2" Paper label to the front cover. 30 leaves with handwritten notes and 23 original pen and watercolor illustrations.  The endpapers are tanned and there is some offsetting from the illustrations.
