Winter Publications, 1958?). This directory contains a Buyers Guide and classified business directory along with an alphabetically arranged directory of all residents over 16 years of age, with detailed information concerning each; a numerical telephone directory; and a street guide showing head of family, ownership and phone.
Two-toned cloth covered boards with advertising all over the front and back covers; spine title reads “Las Vegas and Pecos, New Mexico with San Miguel County 1959”; pages are numbered in four non-consecutive runs, being 1-34, 61-88. 101-[194], 351-402; two maps; index on inside front cover; regional advertising. Near Fine condition. [26-224]
Pages 1-34 contain local advertising and the Classified Business Directory for Las Vegas, NM. Pages 61-68 contain the numerical telephone directory for Las Vegas and pages 69-87 contain the street and telephone guide / householder’s directory for Las Vegas with a map of Las Vegas, NM on page 71 and another, a pictorial map, of the headwaters of the Pecos River on page 88. The Las Vegas City Directory runs from page 101-[194]. Pages 351-402 contain the directories of Conchas, Cowles, El Porvenier, Garita, Ilfeld, Montezuma, Pecos, Romeroville, Rowe, San Jose, Sapello, Tecolote, Sena, Terrero, Trujillo and Watrous. Several of the smaller communities listed above are grouped together in a section titled “San Miguel County / Farms, Ranches, Etc. / 1959”.
