Oblong 8vo. One original albumen bouodoir sized photograph 8 x 5.75 mounted on 8.7 x 6.5 in. studio board, w/ pencil title inscription on verso, no photographer’s imprint, or identifying location markings on the photo, VG w/ bright strong contrast.

This striking image depicts several Progressive Era women with their ermine stoles, race day hats, fine jewelry, and even flower corsages arranged amidst nattily dressed men, several holding, or smoking cigarettes, and one seated on a box in front of the Renault’s hood with a camera in hand. The 1912 Renault Victoria Limousine featured 2 compartments with right-hand drive chauffeur seated here behind the wheel, leather seats, and enclosed passenger compartment behind. The automobile had the typical sleek sloping nose of the Renault’s of the period, radiator positioned behind the engine, a 30-35 mph top speed, and a 2.6 liter 4-cylinder engine fitted with a drive shaft rather than typical chain drive of the era.
